SAURABH BOSE
is a design strategist and information designer originally from Atlanta. As a multi-disciplinarian, the primary nature of his work lies in the intersection of design, audio, technology and business. Saurabh holds a Masters degree in Information Design from The Georgia Institute of Technology, where he focused his research on the design of digital interfaces and experiences. Saurabh also holds an MBA at Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business, with a concentration in leading digital and strategic innovation.
With a passion for design processes and entrepreneurial projects, Saurabh has leveraged his balance of creative and analytical thinking to devise solutions for complex business problems for over 15 years. He started his career at iXL, one of the earliest international interactive agencies, where he worked with clients such as Intercontinental Hotels Group and AutoTrader. From there, Saurabh operated in a variety of media and technology startups as a user interface and prototype designer.
In 2004, he co-founded UNDO LLC, an experimental motion and media design agency. Clients included GE, CNN, G4 Channel, Atlanta Gas Light, Primus Builders, Tekla and Ten Music. During his tenure, UNDO was nominated for Best of Show SXSW Interactive, received a prestigious AIGA SEED Award, and was featured as a Flashbang! Resident artist. In addition, Saurabh has become an in-demand lecturer and educator, teaching classes in design and media at The Art Institute of Atlanta and SAE as well as presenting at numerous technology summits and workshops for organizations such as GGDA, AES and WiRED.
Although skilled in several disciplines, Saurabh considers himself a holistic designer, seamlessly integrating business and creative objectives to build the products, services and user experiences of the future. While most designers tend to conform to known patterns and conventions, Saurabh believes his task as a strategist is to upset expectation. He designs multi-faceted solutions that incorporate solid research, metrics and underutilized techniques such as data visualization, headless UI and audio branding in order to delight consumers and drive flexible, organic growth for the client.
After receiving his MBA, Saurabh was recruited by IBM Digital iX to be a Digital Senior Consultant out of their Washington D.C. Design Studio. There, he lead high profile design projects for Paypal, the FSA, VA, USMC and others.
Currently, Saurabh works as a Lead Prinicipal UX Designer for industry-leading FinTech , Backbase, where he leads the conpany's UX practice across several regions.

IBM iX Technology startup building an innovative, consumer-centered web navigation platform
Senior Digital Consultant - Customer Engagement and Design
• Led UX/UI design and creative/brand strategy within a lean, agile team that designed, developed, and tested a mobile solution for a large-scale health and wellness application. Work included development of a custom branding and design system; customization and creation of screens from scratch based on business requirements and user needs; and creation of design specifications including wireframes, user flows, and diagrams for development team.
• Conducted user research to uncover pain points in a web-based climate monitoring system, including foundational research, a qualitative & quantitative user survey, and generative interviews. Created 2 personas, a 7-step journey map, 6 design principles and a second-phase UX plan. Presented findings directly to clients and key stakeholders.
• Led the creative vision and UX/UI design for two critical IBM bid and proposal demos, including an enterprise-level online student aid portal and a mobile packing, shipping and moving application utilizing optical recognition technology. Produced working demos and video walkthroughs for both efforts.
